Tips for your trip to Madeira and your holiday in Caniço de Baixo

• The airport of Funchal is located about 15km east of Caniço de Baixo. The usual day of arrival for charter flights is Thursday (for the German guests) or Monday (for the Englisch guests). The apartments are ready for occupation at noon and should be cleared by 10am on the day of departure.

• Your bills are paid at the reception.

• The cleaning ladies appreciate a small tip.

• The native language is Portuguese but you can make yourself understood with Englisch, German or French.

• You can either eat in the hotel or cook for yourself. There are several shopping possibilities in the village, but you can also shop in the shopping centres and larger markets in Caniço or Funchal.

• About 5 mins walk from the hotel there is a bus station with direct connections to Caniço and Funchal.
