Madeira The Island of Relaxation

Thanks to its geographic location in the Atlantic Ocean, in the middle of the Gulf stream, a unique vegetation grows and prospers which has no comparison worldwide. The pleasant and moderate climate with an average temperature of 26° C during the year gives us pleasant summers without extreme heat and first and foremost a mild winter which at the very worst with temperatures of 10-13° C allows you to put on some warmer clothes.

About two thirds of the surface area of the island is a protected area because it is extremely important to conserve the worldwide unique Laurissilva zone with its flora and fauna; this is only still in existence today on Madeira. The island gives you a great chance to spend your holidays with long walks and surprising encounters. Especially the Levadas with a total length of 2500km offer enchanting experiences to nature lovers. In every season, even if we repeat the same walks, we always discover new things. The incredible variety of flowers and plants either on comfortable paths or also in wild, remote valleys and canyons, compensate for all your efforts.
Following the motto: The best relaxation is not to do nothing, but to do something different, this is surely the nicest way to spend your holiday and leisure time on Madeira.
